This photo was taken in 1881 when Robert was aged 19. Robert moved to Rowville in 1923. He died in 1944 aged 82. One of Robert’s sons, Jack, was Rowville Fire Brigade’s first captain. Comments (0)
- John Joseph Finn
Jack Finn was the first captain of the Rowville Fire Brigade when it was formed in 1942. Jack was a brick layer by trade who came to live in Rowville in 1930.He built a number of homes in Rowville and also worked on the construction of the Stamford Hotel.He was one of a group who set up the Rowville Drive In Theatre. He also started a number of businesses including the first service station in Rowville (on the corner of Stud and Bergins Roads), The Rowville Caravan Park and the Rowville Tourist Motel.
