Have Your Say On Domestic Animal Management

| 18-July-2021 |

Community Consultation is now open via the Knox.vic.gov.au/whats-happening/news/have-your-say-how-we-manage-cats-and-dogs Website Have Your Say page.

One in three households in Knox have a registered dog or cat, and Knox Council has an important role in ensuring Knox is a great place to live and play for our entire community.

With more than 25,000 registered cat and dog residents, we need to ensure we balance the needs and expectations of both pet and non-pet owners in Knox.

To do this we are currently seeking your ideas and thoughts on how we can better manage cats and dogs in Knox.

Your feedback will help us develop the new Domestic Animal Management Plan for the next four years, and establish our key priorities and actions.

This is your chance to have your say on a range of cat and dog topics, including:

  • Dog off leash areas, dog poo, barking and wandering dogs
  • Cat ownership and managing cats in our neighbourhood
  • Registration and identification of cats and dogs
  • Responsible pet ownership and how we can better support pet owners

We look forward to hearing your feedback and ideas, community consultation is open until Sunday 1 August.
